Live band.  Need shooters in Hollywood!

I'm directing a shoot for a big L.A. band on the 25th of this month. They are playing live at a venue.
I need about 4 or 5 cameras on it. I own one and will operate it. We are making a video and EPK for them with the footage.

10pm for only 1 hour.

What does EPK stand for? Who is the band?

EPK = Electronic Press kit.
Used mainly for marketing purposes.

Say one day, someone came up to you to sell a movie called.... SUPERCHICK... for example. Say you are the President of "Best Buy" DVD & Movie consumer products division, (aka the guy who decides what movies to take in the store and sell across your region).

Best Buy President doesn't really have time everyday to go out to the movies or watch TV and see commercials of SUPERCHICK. So he opens his mailbox one day and sees a package with maybe a 1/2 inch or 3/4 or DVD.

They watch it, and it's a bunch of slates and scrolling text with information on SUPERCHICK. Like who stars in it, when it is being released on DVD. What type of movie it is etc... Sometimes with sample photographs, movie footage, Soundbites(interviews from actors on set regarding the movie) etc... The EPK is plopped together so that Best Buy guy can decide to order 300,000 or 40 DVDs of the movie to sell at their stores.

Or... people can just send EPKs out to a distributor or production company or record label hoping the right person will watch it and pick them up.

Has the club okay'd bringing in that many cams? I've filmed bands at the Gig and they forbid any tripods. Other clubs want cash to film the show.

I have shot things here hefore. I know the owners.
One camera on sticks the other are roving around.
I have another show to shoot also on the 28th with another band, if anyone would like to help out with both it would be great.
I had a meeting and the footage isnt going to be used for the EPK as thought. Its for a TV show about LA.
