little timecode breaks

We've been shooting with a 100a and a 100b and keep getting little Timecode breaks that screw up the capturing to my AVID xpress pro. It's random, doesn't happen evertime but it happens enough to be annoying. It happens sometimes when the camera starts and stops sometimes when it gets turned off etc. We've even had the timecode jump backwards by 4-10 frames at a cut point.

I'm shooting 24p standard mode, regen timecode, taking my time to let the camera "power down" before changing batteries and as per Panasonic's recommendation I've also "charged" the internal battery by plugging in the camera for a least 4 hours.

Any thoughts on how to get these breaks to stop.

When you are recording on one tape at the end of recording each sequence / scene record 10 seconds of colour bar. Stop recording and rewind until you see the colour bars on the lcd then stop. Hit the rec chk button. The camera will align itself to the last sequential recorded field. Then your set. If you turn the cam of after recoring the bars, do the rec chk again before recording. Peace
