Little help with interlacing?

Hey, I've been shooting with my brand new 100B, and I've been noticing some interlacing even though I'm shooting in 24p. An example is from today, right here:

Two frames from the same video, but one is quite different. Any ideas what I have to do to fix this? I plan to shoot more in 30p in the future, but am worried that this might happen then too. This video was captured into FCP as 24p, so I'm still confused about the interlacing. Hope this is an okay forum to throw this in!

Thanks in advance.

if you captured incorrectly then interlaced frames are normal. go to the fcp forum and i think there is a sticky about the best way to do shoot and capture. first thing though is if you plan to edit at 24fps, you should shoot at 24pa (scene file 6) and use advanced pulldown removal when capturing. when done correctly the interlaced frames will be gone.

Thanks for the pulldown tip! Would you recommend shooting in 24pa or 30p? I'll be getting a snowboarding competition and interviews with riders, if that makes a difference.

if you want it to look like film 24pa is the best way. 30p captures 25% more motion resulting in a less filmlike look. however, for the snowboard action that you want to slow down in post, you can shoot in 30p or 60i and convert to 24fps using cinema tools to get smooth natural slomo. read the dvx book. it tells you everything!!!!
