Linking 3 DVX's

I'm editing a feature on FCP that will have a large portion (aprox 100 hours of total footage) shot documentary hidden camera style. There are going to be three cameras rolling with one camera getting the main sound. I was hoping that there was some way to link the cameras so that when one hit record they would all slave record with the same time code. It would save me an incredible amount of time/effort digitizing. As I would only have to log one tape and use the same log for the other two using different computers/drives. All the clips would be the same size so syncing the three would also be a snap.

If that is not an option, is there a free run time code option that I could approximate this effect. Obviously, the other way would be much easier if its possible. Even if it involved buying/renting another piece of equipment.

Yes there is. Barry explains exactly how to do this in his book. Basically, you set all 3 cams to free run and then start them all at the same time with the remote control.
