I'd lilke to know how many lines of resolution, horizontal and vertical, the DVX100A records. I know the manual says 525i (NTSC) and I know the pixel count, but it would help me to know how many lines of resolution are recorded.
Thanks for the info.
You ask a difficult question, because to answer it involves a long-winded treatise on "TV Lines" of resolution.
The pixel count is 720 x 480. Unlike any other camera on the market, the DVX can actually record individual discrete line data on every one of those 480 lines. So you do get the DV-format theoretical maximum of 540 "Tv Lines", and you get 480 discrete vertical lines (but only when in progressive-scan with thin line detail selected).
