Limitations in Film Cam Mode

Is there a reason why 'One shot' and 'Interval shooting' only works in video cam mode? I would like to do single shots with the 2fps function at 350 degree shutter, which only works in film cam mode, but this is not possible since single shots only work in video cam mode.
If there is no severe technical reason for this limitation, I would like to see this changed in a future firmware upgrade.
 
Yes....I am very interested too in to know why you can´t use one shot and interval when film mode....
 
That's a head-scratcher for me too... intervalometer and one-shot stop-motion effects have traditionally been associated with film cameras, not video cameras, so I don't know why it wouldn't be enabled in FILM CAM mode.
