Hmmm.. I just got this message today:

"motion controlling was canceled due to the limitation of the writing speed of the card" Has anyone who has the GH1 gt this message before? what does it mean?

Format your memory card in the GH1 and try again. The search feature is your friend, it has been mentioned just yesterday on these very forums.

Thanks will do but 1 more question. I have a Sandisk Ultra 15mb/s card would it be better getting the Sundisk extreme III at 30mb/s instead for video?

I have the Extreme III, no errors but I'd recommend sticking with your existing card and if you keep getting errors after you've formatted it and kept the card in good shape, go and splash the cash on a faster one.

It shouldn't be an issue though with your existing one.

If the card is rated at 15Mbs and you are writing a codec at 17Mbs, there might be a problem. :)

Codec is 17Mbs card is 15MBs. Mbs is megabits/sec MBs is MegaBYTES/sec

17Mbs ~= 2MBs. (8 bits per byte).

No problem with your card. I have the same card, works just fine for me.

Good cause I just bought 2 of those cards knowing they were only rated class 4 but also knowing that 15MB/s>17Mb/s. Anyway I got them at costco, $30 for 2 x 4gb...and I already have a 2gb of same model lying around so I will test it with that card and then open the ones from costco, if not will just return. Should work just fine though.
