Lilliput LCD On-Camera Monitor PROBLEMS ????

I have a Lilliput 7" 668GL-70NP/H/Y LCD Monitor for on-camera use, and I'm having some problems, so I'm hoping someone out there will be able to help me.

The monitor is new, and I've charged the battery over night. But, when I turn the monitor on, all I get is a "NO INPUT SIGNAL" on the screen and then it shuts down. In those few seconds while it's on, I also cannot get into the menu to change anything. I "can" change the signal from Video I, to Video 2, to HDMI, or YPbPr, but it makes no difference. It also does not matter whether I'm connected to the camera or not, it still says the same thing and I still cannot get into the menu or will the screen stay on.

Am I doing something wrong, or do I have a faulty monitor?

Thanks for any help or advise.

Is this a Canon? if so, your better off putting it in DVI mode. Then switch the aspect ratio in the monitor to 4/3 instead of 16x9. If the monitor does not get a signal it shuts down quick. Try disconnecting the cable to access the menus. then post back. Also make sure hdmi out on your cam is set if it has a feature in the menu.

Thanks, but it's not a Canon. Doesn't matter anyway, 'cause I can't get into the monitor menu to change anything, let alone the ratio.

go to the lowest denominator; the HDMI cable is probably faulty. I have the same monitor although mounted on a Sony VG-10. a bad cable will give you EXACTLY the symptoms you describe. Try a different cable

Connect the monitor and press the shutter button half way through
Do this all the time and push it often. Whilst doing that, try turning your monitor on again.

Might fetch a signal then!
