The HVX does not have HDMI.

This is correct...and then you can set the component out to monitor either SD 480i or HD 720p or HD 1080i.

That model will work with the hvx fine. You will need component cable with d-sub mini connector on camera end and rca with rca to bnc adapters on the monitor end.
