Just wanted to pass on a romantic comedy short film about a social media relationship called, LIKE. Thought some people would enjoy. A previously posted it in a wrong forum, so just wanted to get it up in here. It is from the Whistler Ski and Snowboard Festival's 72 Hour Film festival (www.wssf.com), the festival has been putting the event on for 10 years. Simple concept - produce a 5 minute short, only have 72 hours to shoot, edit, and produce the short. A fun one.

Anyways, hope you enjoy.

The idea of the story itself is good. Only thing is that nothing really "suspending" is happening... Well maybe at the point she wants to meet him "analog".

Although I watched it without falling asleep... so that's a good sign.

It reminds me of "you've got mail"....

This is a really nice concept for a short, especially one that must be produced, shot and edited in a 72 hour timeframe. Being able to avoid dialogue recording in such a situation forces you to do some really strong storytelling through the shots, performances and sound design. Ultimately this is what all films must do, but not having "dialogue" and instead using text allows you to get most of the benefit of the spoken word without actually having to record the dialogue and get it right. In 72 hours there is little, if any time for ADR with everything else that must be done. Even the way the actors' performances worked: mostly short shots, fairly simple reactions to deliver consistently, etc. seemed like they would work well for a project with this kind of time constraint.

As for the story itself, I found it engaging. It's the kind of thing that would get quite tiresome were it any longer than it is so, again, good choice for a 5-7 minute film. The cinematography was fairly basic which was a good choice too, but your actors were well lit and I felt that in general the shots were nicely composed.

Great job all around!
