Lightweight Tripod and Carry backpack

Looking to get a lightweight tripod and backpack in my EX bundle I'm about to get,

I will be doing allot of hiking about with the thing, I want the tripod to be able it either fit on the side of a backpack or have a good comfortable bag for carrying.

I was looking at the Kata HB-205 GDC Hiker Backpack or the Cinebag CB-22 HD Backpack LT for my bag.

does anyone have any recommendations?
 
I am using a Tamrac soft bag, which I used to carry my Nikon D70 in... but it's an easier field bag than my Petrol case... just waiting to find the right sized Pelican/Storm

I would say any photo soft bag with some padding and medium durability will do just fine for small trips... also, did you think about getting a Monopod for size/weight issues... tripods get bulky unless you strap them to the side or bottom of your camera bag, which may add more support but could very well bog you down... Miller carbon fiber is great, light weight but $$$$... Tamrac makes a variety of backpacks as well, the ones I've seen aren't the right size for the EX1 however...
