I'm looking for a lightweight cage for Canon 7D II.
So far I found 4 candidates, each weighing under 0.51 Kg (1.2 lb), each costs under $400:
Letus35 Cage: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/904124-REG/letus35_ltm_np5d_cage_canon_7d_5d_mark2_cage.html
Wooden Camera Quick Cage-DSLR, Medium: http://woodencamera.com/Quick-Cage-DSLR-Medium.html
Varavon Armor II: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1136630-REG/varavon_am_7d2_ii_armor_ii_camera_cage.html
Motionnine CubeCage: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1165470-REG/motion9_m9cc5d37d2_cubecage_for_canon_5d.html

What I don't know about any of those cages is the ease of operating the camera mounted on/in those cages, including easy access to the camera's controls.

What are your recommendations?
Is there any other recommended lightweight cage?

Edit:

I found 3 more candidates:
walimex Pro Aptaris Universal XL: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1040129-REG/walimex_pro_19884_uni_xl_adjustable_cage.html
Hunt DSLR Camera Cage: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Hunt-DSLR-C...Canon-Nikon-/171919438286?hash=item28073271ce
Ikan ELE-DRGFLY DragonFly: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/885073-REG/ikan_ELE_DRGFLY_DragonFly_Handheld_Rig.html

What's your recommendation?

Edit 2

Seriously? Skip the "cage" and spend your money on a good baseplate. I only really see a benefit if you're strapping your camera to crashing cars. And then it's probably not even much use.

I've never seen a camera on a professional set that someone felt they had to wrap a "cage" around - I guess I don't get the whole thing, other than some people feel like it sounds cool or they need to attach every accessory available to their "rig". (though I might want one if I had a tiny cam like a BMPCC).

They do prevent the camera from spinning on the baseplate, but that's a lot of mess and fuss and money to solve a simple problem...

The purpose of the cage is to attach various accessories, like a microphone, monitor, video recorder, sound recorder and LED light to a DSLR.

I asked the same question , but for a Nikon http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?340014-cage-rail-for-Nikon-D7000 and Michael gave the same answer.

I think it all depends on what subject we're shooting as to whether we "need" a lot of the gear we "think" we need.

I'm the last person to be handing out advice as I'm just starting out in this field. But Michael's reply has made me stop and re-think.

This is hilarious.
Possibly I don't know what I need, therefore I should follow the advice of others (who don't know what I shoot, with what gear and under what conditions).
Now, that goes all the way, including what camera and what other gear to use.
