lighting test again

Those settings seem to be working out great for you. This looks badass. That's a serious test, well done.

Wow!What settings did you use?Do you mind sharing your scene file settings?I love the goldish color..how did you achieve that?

off topic- i see chiangmai referenced in your vimeo.
our two cats (burmese) are from chiangmai (obtained them in 2002 & 2003).
commonly referred to as 'brown cats' there.
wonderful place- have always enjoyed my visits there over the years.
just curious about the connection.

on topic- looks like you're projecting footage practical onto the fabric.
very cool effect.
care to share how you accomplished that?

on on topic (to jambredz)- which CFL's are you using (some have different temps)?
do you meter separately than in camera (like, with a hand held)?

i use some CFL's in my kit. as well small LED fixtures.
the little LED's are very convenient for obtaining the elusive 'sparkle-in-the-eye' for MCU's and CU's. *i even have one that clips to the Panny lens shade- called a "VisorLight™".

also- are you bare bulb with the CFL's or diffusing it??

thanx!

aight lemmi see if i can tackle these questions.

this was a little time ago, but i think the settings were stock 24pa (f6) except master ped was -7 i believe.
I think the "goldish" tint was caused by the cam being warm card balanced (my light blue wall). or i had adjusted the colour temp in the scene files. I cant remember, so u can try both and see what u get :)
The lights were 6400k (daylight) .it was bear bulbed very close to just outside of the frame. one to either side (as seen in the glasses) and one over head which is just the light for my room on the wall.

No metering...i dont even know how to meter. wanna get a light meter and learn.
Its all done with fabric taped to the wall and me performing in front of it...i didnt iron out the fabric cuz it was just an idle test and i was lazy so u can see the texture in some shots. And the green fabric i taped loosely to the wall and kinda thought it looked cool so i left it

The "dolly" like effect is just me passing by the camera in a very smoothe way. i was close to the camera so i played with the focus ring bringing it in and out of focus. (lcd flipped of course)

The settings Will refers to are settingshe helped me out with for exporting with premiere

thats about it. hope i got all the questions covered.

Edit: "off topic- i see chiangmai referenced in your vimeo." Nonoob....i have no idea what ur talking bout lol. where in my vimeo is chiangmai referenced? First i'm hearing of it...i'll google it and see. always fun to learn about new places :)
