Hi Gang
I'll be traveling to Germany for the fist time interviewing German veterans in a controlled environment. I have a lot of experience with this here in the U.S.
I'm trying to gather information about the 50 cycle issue.
I NEVER use fluorescent lighting, and will avoid them at all costs. I will control the lighting as I always have. Simple #4 90 watt incandescent lamps only. They've worked great for me here. (See the trailer below)
From what I read on the Apple Forum, it seems I should be 'ok' with incandescent lamps - 'No Flicker'. I've always prefered incandescent lighting with the DVX100B.
I don't have battery operated lighting, and would like to avoid that option.
Although I've never used it, I'll try to adjust with "synchro-scan" if necessary on the DVX. Does anyone have any experience with this?
It would be nice to conduct a test here before I go, but recreating/simulating 50 cycles will be tough. I'm still a little concerned about the possibility of 'HUM' when using voltage converters - will continue to look into that.
Any feedback would be appreciated
Thank you
Mike
