Lighting in the dark questions?

Hi

I'm wanting to do some filming in a derelict building and forest late at night in pretty much pitch black conditions, with a smoke machine to create a moody atmosphere
i'm looking to hire a generator to power my lights.
I currently have dedo 800w lights
was just wondering if anyone had any advice they could give me
if them three lights will be enough to light up the scene in total blackness
or if any i need to get some more lights etc

any help will be appreciated!

Hey Dan, welcome to the boards. I have 3 words for you- Don't Cross Post... it really muddles things up, and gives the mods shooting pains in their eyes ;) Keep it simple, and just post once in one forum please.
 
how do you actually delete posts?
because i put a video post up under hpx170 by accident the other day!

this time I wasn't sure where my post should go as in terms of content, being general or a technical thing

When in doubt, take your best guess and post it once. If it needs to be moved, the mods will do it. Same goes for multiple posts. It really does make it easier for everyone to follow one thread in one location. Some of us get confused easily :)
