LIGHT WEIGHT HD MONITOR for my 7D RIG? ? ?

Hey everyone. I have worked with the RED and fell in love with the LCD monitor. It's compact and light weight. My new DSLR rig has a very comfortable weight but when I added my monitor to the mix is adds a little more unwanted weight to the rig. It is still far lighter than any other rig I have used with my Letus EX HVX200 set up but at the end of the day I am looking to have my cake and eat it too.

BTW....I currently use a TOTEVISION monitor.

Thanks

Thanks David. Around 2.5 lbs. with out battery. With battery add another 1 lb. All together my entire rig with camera & monitor weighs 13.5 lbs with my heaviest lens. I'm being really anal about weight because I still want to add a H4N soon for sound, but don't want to tip into the 15- 16 lb weight bracket.

Having a shoulder rig with a handle directly above the cam is something I have wanted for a while. Looks like Redrock but I am not seeing the box or cage member that your cam sits in. Did you buy the complete rig from them or piece it together? If pieced together, what is the name or part no. of the box frame that the handle is on?
thanks,
g

1. Cage system: $250.00 from CPM go to http://www.cpmfilmtools.com/DSLR_Cam...shoot_dslr.htm
2. Follow focus: Grandfathered in from my old red RedRock unit.
3. Handles & Shoulder pad: $120.00 go to http://www.indifocus.com Tell Tim Gearie sent you.
4. I had to custom add a slide plate for my camera so that I can easily detach it from the rig.
5. I forget where I purchased the Matt Box, but it was cheap. I customized it 2 years ago to fit on my M2 unit. It was laying around so I added it to this set up. Will be buying a swing away matt very soon though. But this 1 will do for the time being.
6. I also added a monitor mount to the handle bar for my ToteVision monitor. It works great!

If you find something small and light please let me know. I want one as well. I have the manhattan LCD and fully rigged out its a heavy monster. I'm running the indi clamp to attach my monitor.

Still looking..........Light weight monitor. I love the size and weight of the red monitor. Is there any monitor that come close to the size and resolution on the market?

I like the Marshall 70XP monitor. It's small and pretty light. The smaller Marshall 651 is even smaller if that's your game. Higher resolution and more expensive but if it has to be light and small this is a great monitor.
