Light kit recommendation

I'm not ready to buy a light kit yet but I like to know in case in the future I may have to buy them.

I was looking at the various Arri light kit and here's what I like to know.


  1. What are the very basic, recommended, and optimal light kit that I need to complete a feature film?
  2. Besides the light kit, what else do I need e.g. light stand, gel, scrims and so on?
  3. Should I go for used or brand new light kit? Are used light kit any good? Or is it depend on the owner?
 
I'm very sorry for forgetting to look for the Lighting section. I didn't even realized that there is a Lighting section.
