Leukemia Ball - Low Light Shoot

Shot with a custom profile which needed to be a shoot and
edit profile. Meaning I did no color correction to the final image.
My primary focus for a final image is always skin tones and accurate
color reproduction overall. I feel this picture profile nailed it.
I was looking to tweak this profile for use later on and
figured this project would be a great test of the profile made.

It's worth noting I accidentally left sharpening at +0, which I will
normally run at -4/-3. This accounts for some of the added noise
in the image in the less lit parts. Still quite acceptable to say
the least, could have denoised however I felt there was no need.

As a quick note audio was not optimal since I was not allowed to
interfere with the audio setup the venue had in place. We were
shooting for the company that was providing the theme for the
venue so this edit was purely for the benefit of the cause. It was
not part of the reason I was originally there. So again please excuse
audio imperfections as it was a shoot derived on the fly with no
control over the audio situation.

Rokinon 8mm, love that lens. You can use it in more
situations than you would imagine. Has come in handy
for a lot more than the one project I originally purchased
it for. Highly recommended.

OK, I'll bite, what is your PP? It looks great overall, and I didn't notice the noise much at all. Nice edit and all for a good cause...

Thanks for the kind words scoutsbrother.

Custom PP:

Black Level: -5 (Set according to scene)
Gamma: ITU709
Black Gamma: High 0
Knee: 100 -1 or 102.5 -1 (I avoid lower settings to keep skins tones realistic and not plastic like)
Color Mode: Cinematone 1 +8
Color Level: 0 (If red channel oversaturates turn this setting down a bit)
Color Phase: -3
Color Depth: 0 (If I'm not comfortable with the look I use Frank's GLog B settings, I prefer the old version however you can use the new settings if you like them better)
WB Shift: Defaults of 0
Detail: -4/-3 depending on overall look. I generally add a minor unsharp mask in post)

All you have to do is set your black levels and get an accurate white balance to make the profile look correct.
Above all an accurate white balance is important.

I will be doing more tests with changing the color depth however this shoot
had no color depth changes at all. And it came out exactly like I wanted. Just
like it looked at the actual event which is what the aim of this profile was.

If anyone has anymore questions feel free to ask!
