Letus35adapteR

Do a search for Letus35, it's talked about mostly on DVInfo.net, but it's been mentioned here too.

It is by far the simplest of the 35mm adapters. It's a 58mm thread and it's compact. The list price is $300 for the plain silver version and $350 for a black version.

I wrote and posted a bunch of stuff on the letus 35a on dvinfo.net in the Alternate imaging forum...
I also posted some stuff here in the DVX clips forum

That footage was shot with a 50mm prime SLR
No color correction - all in Camera.
Thanks,
Pete

Can you expand just a little more. Which 50mm lens.
All in Camera.

F6? Cinelike? etc... Please!
I'm inches away from buying one.
Thanks,
Adrian

Adrien,
It was a canon 50mm FD 1.4
Color was done through camera white balance.
Scene Settings are all custom and change day to day depending.
Don't think that host site "Sharkle" does it justice.
Check my site if you like:

Hey Pete, hows it going? I actually bought one after speaking to Pete(he probably doesn't even remember) So i now have a letus35A. It's still hard to believe no colour correction. So because of you pete i now own a letus35a.

Although, if you look at the video, the top end of the screen is moving, i think that's the vibrating gg on the letus35a. Correct me if i'm wrong pete.

Hey Pete, really enjoyed you site, alot of nice footage keep the good work up.......

Would letterbox mode take care of the moving screen at the top from the
vibrating gg?

I'm probably going to own one by the end of the week as well.
Keep us posted Yas.

Adrian

Debo (the bicycle thief?) - thanks.
Yas - the edges you see up top are from the GG. The movement I believe is from the cameras image stabilizer. I was not zoomed in enough on the GG. I actually like it in this instance. Effects are added to the Nike spot obviously. "Replicant" is clean.
Adrian - Matte would cover the edges. Also Quyen of Letus35 is working on a larger GG for the DVX allowing for a full frame. Ask him about it.
Thanks,
Pete

letterbox will get rid of vibrating gg.. but for me, I get no edges in the frame. I'm at Z74 and F14

Letus35 is the best out there for the price. Image (to me anyways) looks just as good as the M2... Letus35a has more light loss though, which really isn't a problem.
