This footage was shot with a Letus35a on a DVX100a. Some shots used a 55mm f1.2 and a 80mm f4.4 lens. There is no color correction at all.

This was shot @ 60i. If I'm not mistaken the DETAIL, V.DETAIL and CHROMA LEVEL were all set to +5. Everything else was set in the at +/- 0.

It is pretty easy to spot, but you can tell when we switched from the fast 55mm to the low 80mm.

Scroll down and you can see the camera setup.

Nice, looks great.

I have a Question regarding these 35 adapters, do they work the same way a conventional 35mm lens would, meaning if you were to stop down would the DOF get deeper, or does it stay shallow? sorry for asking this on your thread Micro, jsut thought you might know.

stay cool, great stuff

I dunno b/c I don't come from a film background and I'm still learning all this.

However, I did find the near focus limit and far focus limit really close to what I got off this chart:

When shooting I locked the iris on the DVX wide open and adjusted the iris on the 35mm lens. I don't know if this is the correct way to go, but it resulted in the footage you just saw.

The editing tool used (Liquid Edition) didn't support 24p/24pa. However, we did import 24p/24pa and 60i footage into FCP and to our untrained eye really couldn't tell the difference.

To me, there is more to "film look" than 24fps. DOF and film grain are a huge part of it all.
