Letus35 Flip Enhanced

The thing I love about dvxuser is that there are so many people with real shooting "wisdom" and that people share their thoughts/ideas. I am a beginning-to-intermiedate shooter who is about to embark on shooting a long-form documentary (which could be REALLY good). The person putting up the money to get this done will pay for a Letus35 Flip Enhanced, but I'm not sure I can use it effectively. We will be shooting a great deal of outdoor interviews and many scenics. We will also have some well-lit interior interviews. I love the look of some of the grabs/examples with the Letus, but how easy is it for someone of my aptitude to learn how to use? Unfortunately I have no "mentor" to shoot with and help walk me through the process. Also, if I do go through with getting it, what lenses would you recommend. My thoughts were a 50mm 1.4 for interviews, and possibly an 80-200 zoom for everything else. Finally, can you shoot moving scenics (i.e. from a car) with the adapter? Thanks for any and all help with this post.

Was able to attach a Letus35FE, dial it in, and start getting nice-looking footage within fifteen minutes of opening the package it arrived in. Quyen is *very* accommodating, when it comes to answering questions and offering advice.

And if I can do it...

Wouldn't particularly recommend a zoom lens, unless you can find a really fast one (they're usually on the slow side) and plan to use rails to support its weight (which shouldn't be allowed to bear on the camera's lens housing).

Shooting from a moving vehicle is unaffected by the adaptor (aside from bulk/weight) although in 24P mode the usual moving/strobing effect applies.

the letuse35 fe is a graet toll but it can be hard to use it in a documantry becose of the light loss which meens you have to light locations but its light wghit for hand held

i defently recommend to us cavision rod support with lens support

you shulod find fast lense f/1.4- f/2

i think it will be best for you to use two lenses so you will be fast

1- 24mm
1- 50mm

from my exp this will give you go wide with lens for close medium

if you need extrem close use 85mm

the problem with zoom it eat a loot of light

take into accont that its fast to work with but take its time change batteris change lenses control exposer and focus
