Letus V2 Rod/Baseplate Pics/Short Review

Can't you just swap out the V2 rods for Zacuto rods for future use? 15mm is 15mm right? In other words, all the mounts should be interchangeable between the two rigs......right?

(I'm still not sure which way to go. Decisions, decisions......)

Accurate statement there Mitch. 15mm rods are 15mm. However, I remember reading somewhere on the Cinevate site that there's a difference between their rods. Maybe it was 15mm vs. 15.4mm!
 
That was there old rods. There old stainless ones from like a year and half or 2 years ago were 15.8mm. Anything they've made in carbon is 15mm, especially the solid carbon ones, which I love.
 
Zacuto rods are 15mm's, the only difference between our rods and Chrosziel rods is when you try to screw one of their rods into one of ours. Our thread is 1/2 inch and theirs is metric. Still their rods will screw into Zacuto's but Zacuto's wil not screw into Chrosziel. Both are 15mm rods. But you can surely use Zacuto rods on any of these systems.
 
i love the way the Zacuto system is completely adaptable for any camera you get in the future.

i will be doing a blog soon on my favourite follow focus, rods etc. Zacuto features heavily.
