Letus Extreme - support bracket?

...I really feel that it needs a base that attaches to rods. It's quite a heavy adapter and when you look at the P+S Technik, Redrock M2 and SGpro they seem much safer in terms of their attachment. Sure, you can get a lens support to come in under the LetusExtreme to support the weight, but that doesn't hold it in from above.

I had a Letus35 Flip Enhanced a while back and it was supported from below but it always felt loose since it wasn't vertically locked in place.

Am I alone on this?

No, you're not alone. Which is why the Letus guys are integrating a Lens support into the system now. I believe they're mounting holes or something like that.

People receiving the Letus soon will have them. Correct me if I'm wrong.
 
I just ordered my Letus a week ago. Will the mods like the power light indicator reversal be included on my order? Really want to know. Also how soon before they include the lens support with the Extreme if anyone knows?
 
I e-mailed letusdirect before ordering and I was told that if I ordered now I would get the new features (red light in back etc.) when they shipped in 3 weeks. Hope the three weeks holds up and there isn't some sort of delay ::fingers crossed::

Everyone on order now will be receiving the version with the changes mentioned elsewhere in this forum. There will be a support bracket available soon that will attach to the bottom of the Extreme and will fit standard 15mm rod systems.

Can we "pre-order" the bracket? What if we already placed an order, can we add to it so that we do not have to pay shipping twice?

There is no need to "pre-order". We have planned already to give all those who order the newer version of the Extreme (the version with all the pro's, like Barry Green, recommendations, eg light switch to the back, the threaded hole to adapt to this bracket, etc ). This is a gift aims to reward the early adopters of the Extreme. Since you asked, you will be first to know. Just that it will end in 2 weeks. After that, it will be $50. When you order online, you will not see the option to choose it. We will just ship it with the order before the certain date (2 weeks from now). Then we will modify our website (http://www.adapterplace.com) to give an option for you to order.

Yes. This applies to LetusDirect.com orders as well.

I ordered mine on the 24th, how will i know if i am receiving the model with these adjustments? i.e. the led light in the back and so on? i hope i do!

Im no longer worried about the Letus Extreme -vs- comparisons either, at $1200 with low light loss, flip, awesome picture, no dust issue, AND rail bracket... whats left to compare?

When the price jumps to 1500 then maybe ~ but im already in at the intro price . YAY!
