letus extreme bundle for EX1R

Yes, the "what's in the box" section indicates it includes the Zeiss lenses and Nikon 80-200.

The glass has a good reputation. By my rough calculations, there's about $3k worth of glass on top of the adapter. This may or not be a bargain if you're willing to buy used glass to save money. The Nikon zoom, for example, I'm sure can be found for less on the used market.

Be aware that this will ultimately cost you more when you start adding other necessities like follow focus, matte box and filters. And it's a vibrator. You can get an excellent spinning adapter, the Shoot35 Blade for less (or very close, depending on the exchange rate).

And finally, you'll likely need additional support for the 80-200. My 80-200 extends way out in front of the adapter and rails, placing a fair amount of stress on the mounting ring.

Thanks Bobonli. Great advice. You say the letus is a vibrator is the Redrock M2 any better? they also have a similar kit from Redrock directly.

Not familiar with any of the RR products. Sorry. I also answered your post at "the other place" with more detail.

As for the lenses, the Zeiss are reportedly wonderful. If I were going to continue down the adapter path, a 50mm Zeiss is my next purchase. I use a 60mm Nikkor now and it's a hair to "long" for most of my shots. There's plenty of great used Nikon glass out there at places like B&H and KEH. If I were to need a manual focus Nikon, I'd buy used.

Also, I rarely go longer than 85mm indoors and mounting up the 80-200 on an adapter really makes it look like some sort of military weapon! It gets heavy very fast.
