I have a job where i need to record letterboxed footage to SD (PAL) I was wondering what would be the best way to set ASPECT CONV?

If you're wanting to hand over 4:3 footage that has a letterboxed 16:9 image on it, then shoot letterbox.
If you are going to be doing extensive post production, shoot squeeze, and letterbox it at the end.
