Let's Tell a Story.........

John Noforn smiled to himself as he looked at the photo of the 14th reunion of the squad known as "the blackeyes". In truth, they had no eyes at all, voluntarily having them ripped to avoid seeing the horrors of war. They were to make their way through the battlefield guided only by sonar, but the sonar-brain interface software wasnt ready due to a forced early release, and so these poor soldiers stumbled about the battlefield firing blindly. Thankfully, the only battle they were in pitted them against the enemy's army of steroid-addled rhesus monkeys, and the unarmed (save for socks filled pennies) primates proved no match for their nonsighted evolutionary superiors. A good time was had by all, and Noforn looked forward to the squad's yearly meetup at a local doughnut shop.
 
Okay now that I have washed the beer and snot off the keyboard...................

And I thought I had a good imagination....that was unexpected Josh! LOL, good one!

Upon the fall of the American Empire, civil war has erupted. Each bound to protect their own state this team of renegades of former military personal has vowed to protect one and all.
 
i thought the challenge was to pick up the story from the last person, you can't quit and start over after the first paragraph!! maybe give it a minimum limit of 10 paragraphs or something.
 
You can't pick up from the first line from Josh, I don't think. If you can, by all means do so. I was trying to be a little less comedic.
 
I mean if the the OP was serious and collaborating on a story, then let's maybe start with simple ideas and build on them? And maybe make a half decent story instead of a pile of fudge. Start it again if you want and as I say "let's try" this time.

But that doesn't deter you from continuing a story. Start again Joe if you like. What a cluster F this post is becoming. Just include a paragraph in a story. F-sakes.
 
isn't the idea of the challenge to think outside the box and (blindly) go where no man has gone before. it's suppose to be challenging.

maybe a reflection on the greed that blinds people from seeing the horror and destruction which they carelessly subject on to the invaded country in a slapstick satire type comedy (think top secret, airplane, naked gun, shaolin soccer, ...etc.)

Let's take a look at a fictional attack on Canada then. Since the US is out of bounds to some people.

We either get attacked from the south, US, or from the north (Russia) or from, the west (China if they had the long range weapons which they dont. They do have manpower and backing from Russia. All in thier best interests.)

So there is a story there. And there is a story in the afforementioned plot I mentioned earlier which some people took offense to.

This is fiction. I don't understand why a simple post requesting us to post one paragragh at a time to help write a story turns into a political event, which means this thread will be shut down now. WTF. Seriously. It's fiction!!!!!!!!!!!!!
 
you can continue from the first paragraph, and do the civil war or the Canadian invasion plot.

it's not about the final creation is it? it's more about flexing your muscles and firing up the old engine. go for it.
 
Yes. And everyone can turn the story in any direction they want. I agree Amr. Let's write a story. (Where is Charlie?) haha.
