Anyone use the litepanel mini setup?

http://www.litepanels.com/?ABCDEFGH

I can't run mu cool lux SL3000 on the same battery belt as my HD100. This looks like a good option and I like the fact that I can adapt it with dv batteries.

That feature is handy when the battery belts run out I have back up to put both the cam and its lights on DV batteries while I pulg my belt in for a while.

This product looks to good to be true.

Lite Panels are a great addition to DV work. Dimmable w/ no perceptible reduction in color temp, snap-inn batts, run-cool technology...you just can't beat them. We used them on a shoot in Scottsdale when we need knockdown fill on talent's faces out of view and Wow! The price for most is steep at $700+ for the minis but when you need 'em... The downside is no plug and run to the back bricks with p[proprietary connectors. Check the connectors on ABs and IDXS and see if there's opportunity\ you my be able i rewire / jerry rig them warranty asside.

which one did you use. with weddings sometimes I need throw sometimes I need flood can't afford both right now.

LP-DVCK-50S about $725 for one but it comes w/ gel filters and frames for in- and outdoor use. Litepanels are dimmable from 0 to 100%, with virtually no shift in color and have options to be powered from their own snap-on battery, AC opr cig l,ighter. Definitely an Indie kit must-have.

With a skin, it knocks down just enough light from the key(s) to hide shadows w/o looking like a soft filter was used and take the glare away. Sorry for the 2X post!

ANy report on battery life?

Most interested in snap on batt.

I am sold already actually...Jess this year is going to be tough. So many toys to buy not enough dough.

About 1.5 hours on full bright I've heard but that may be like the now infamous, "27 MPG Highway/22 MPG City" on the window sticker!!!
