Lets talk about how to rig a point and shoot camera to an external audio recorder

I just got a Canon S95 and I wanted to play around with it in conjunction with an H4n. However, I haven't figured out how I can rig them together so that I can access the controls on both and still be able to mount the whole contraption on a tripod or stabilizer. Any thoughts?
