Let's get PK Gillock / Isara on the Colbert Report

How could we make this happen?

I was thinking Isara is the kind of quirky outside the box liberal yahoo thinking that they like to have on the show and pretend to make fun of while actually hyping it.

Colbert: A search engine website where all of the profits go to charity. Who are you sir and how long have you been a commie?

I'm being serious. I'm in NY. Could I try to get a meeting at the Colbert Report? Are such things done? Are the guests booked through agents? Does he have interns that are looking for this kind of thing?

Are there any DVXusers that work behind the scenes? Etc. Could this post sound more like those "What kind of camera should I buy?" posts or "How do I make a movie" threads. Probably not, but I did a search for "getting PK on the Colbert report" and it came up blank.

Thoughts?
 
I'd totally support this.

I have absolutely no idea how I would contact Colbert but I think PK would be great on the show.

I bet somebody on DVXuser has connections.
 
I think we should push to get PK on the talk show circuit in general. :)



Would have been a perfect "strike filler" guest, actually, now that I think about it. Too late. Figures.

right yeah lets do emails. Should we wait until the thread has lots of replies so there is kind of an en mass email petition or should we start trickling in?

BTW, for those of you just tuning in, the thread title used to say "PK Gilock on the Colbert Report" which is what Matt is referring to, but now that there is actually some direction I've changed it to the current title.
 
Have we cleared this with PK yet? and he's cool with this idea? why has he not chimed in?

If everyone's on the same page, I'll contribute any way possible.
 
I think because he's modest. A reluctant figurehead. But he PMed me saying he thought it was a plausible, funny, interesting idea - in short he was for it.
 
I'm totally up for this - let me know what to do... surely someone here knows someone who knows someone who knows someone on the show - you know?

How about sending a video request to the show - put some real effort (heck there's enough talent in this thread alone to do some kick-ass work) into it and make it so they can't say no.
 
I know a guy who knows a guy who was a recently a guest. I'll look into it.

Are you guys sure we don't just want to focus our energies into getting The Como on the show?

Hmmm ... my GF was a high school friend of Joel Stein's wife. Maybe he knows other wit pundits who've been on or worked for that show. Joel's been on the Bill Mahr show (the angry irony-free PETA Colbert) so he's at least in that cadre.

....If this helps...I saw Colbert at the Clairidge movie theater in Montclair, New Jersey.

He lives in that town I believe. We should just go to his house and stick alot of print outs of the Isara logo everywhere. haha
