Let The Goring Begin!!

I definitly will watch each and every one even if it takes a few weeks. I think its only fair to each and every film maker that submitted to take the time to watch. I know I would want everyone to see my film.

Bischfftep: I think jarred said he can see who voted where and how so he can see if someone decided to skew the results.
 
I know this isn't how the voting works, but I can't vote--(yet anyway :happy: ). So I wonder if we could just find a way to download a .zip file of 10 - 20 at a time just for viewing purposes.

Oh man....60 films...its gonna be a lonnnggggggg weekend....

...DAMMN!

My internet modem is gonna fry from all the downloads when the movies are available..it heats up when theres a lot of bandwith going thru it...iduno why...but ill prolly need to buy another one after this contest.

Actually this is a great idea. I really don't want to download 70+ films individually. But hey, I'm lazy so.. :)
 
I also have a fast connection, so downloading 300 MB+ at a time really isn't that big of a deal to me. But others have slower connections, and then we migh just be hogging the bandwidth, I dunno.

Here is an additional suggestion. Take the zip file, and publish it as a bittorrent. Maybe we could show people that there is a legit use for p2p occasionally :)

It would save a lot of bandwidth for DVXUser.com
 
My 12.6 gig computer would be able to take the pain of a zip of 60+ films.

only about 1.06 gb left......:undecided:
 
Barry, Didn't you say you were going to write a review for each film? Or did you say you were just going to watch them? I'd be interested to see what you had to say about our films. :)
 
I think the torrent is a good idea. A single torrent could be made with all the movies (seperate - not zipped) in it, and the watcher could just deselect the movies that they didn't want to download. I know if we get enough people that we could offload the burden from the main server significantly, and I'd be willing to throw my 10kps into the boat.

Poor Guy, let him take it back. Nobody should be doing reviews of 70 films and not getting paid, even if they are zombie films... I mean, he does have a job, right? :)
 
Overall Scores are cool... but they don't say much. I'm here to learn. Personnally I'd rather have a grading system on SPECIFIC areas of our shorts.

It's probably an insane idea... But I'd want to see my grade on concept and/or storyline, composition, acting, pace of editing.... everything besides production value.... so that I can see where I need to improve.

Anyone else with me on this?
 
Don't worry, you will get plenty of feedback on all aspects of your films as people watch them. There will be a thread where people can talk about the films they say and say what they like/dislike about your films. You'll get some great feedback.
