Let The Goring Begin!!

JD...

Does that mean there will be SEVENTY different threads for the seventy different movies? I think that would be the only way to do it. I would love to see it, but I don't think it will happen.

But that would be the ultimate in reading each person's feedback for each movie.

Overall Scores are cool... but they don't say much. I'm here to learn. Personnally I'd rather have a grading system on SPECIFIC areas of our shorts.

It's probably an insane idea... But I'd want to see my grade on concept and/or storyline, composition, acting, pace of editing.... everything besides production value.... so that I can see where I need to improve.

Anyone else with me on this?

I think in theory everyone would like this. But for so many films I'm sure people would be more content on something a bit easier and less time consuming.

Yeah, I don't know. Last time there were only 8, so it wasn' t hard to put the in one thread, but it was still a freaking long thread.

J.D.

I'm going to watch every single one of them so that I can individually point out all of the things that everyone did better than me!

I suggested this a couple weeks ago. I think it's the way to go myself, because otherwise we'd have one GIGATIC thread with everyone trying to talk about 70 different films. It'd be havoc.

With film-specific threads, we can go into detail on what we like/dislike, and it's organized. Also, we can link to that thread (to comment on my film, click here...), and instantly check to see if people have commented on our film, instead of sifting through pages and pages.

it seems that if there are 70 dif threads certain (most) films would be totally lost in the shuffle. Some films being talked about alot, and most having like 1 or 2 comments.

Maybe there should theme specific topics, like "best camerawork" and "best acting", and other general discussion segregated to one forum (or a sticky somewhere), while individual topics are created in a second forum. I don't think it's too much to create a topic for each project, as the lesser used ones will just fade into the background like normal. Also, people won't have to worry about looking to see if a project's topic exists, because they'll all have one. Sure, it'll be a high turnover forum in the beginning, but I think it'll just be the illusion of chaos with the underpinning of organization.

Just my 2cents. Oh, and I've been lurking for about a year now, and have found this forum to be a bastion of good information and nice people, so I hope someday soon I can find something to contribute (other than my zombie film). But, for now, I guess I'm lurker.
