thanks reem, yeah i am really digging truecolor. seems to be working very well

Andrew: We are shooting in Montreal and surrounding areas. More stuff to come soon.

Hunter: I think part of that look is coming from my lighting. I am going for a very soft look so we are using heavy diffusion outside. Partly for a look i am trying to achieve, partly because i don't completely know what im doing and am learning bit by bit how to achieve the proper " look, when shooting outside. Also due to the focus being somewhat soft, we lose a lot of the detail giving them the airbrushed look. I guess this is what happens when you are shooting your own stuff without a monitor and a first assistant. I am also shooting with detail at -9, which i think is something i am going to avoid in the future. I wouldn't mind a bit of a harder edge on the image.

thanks for the comments boys.

thanks matty.

The compression really took a tole on the nighttime stuff. Got quite washed out in fact, looks much better in the editor.

We are quite happy with what were getting so far. I feel like i have come a long way with lighting and i can't wait to take it a step further.

The toughest part is working with restrictions, we are missing a lot of equipment that would otherwise make this project MUCH easier to work on. For example, autopoles to hand lights. C stands and flags instead of DIY things. Stronger lights, scrims, silks, cookies.

That "Game Over" t-shirt is tremendous. In fact, I used it for wardrobe on my new short film. You can see one of the actors wearing it (in green, not black) here - 2nd and 3rd photos in the slideshow.
