Here's a project I worked on last month. It's a video series for churches to be used during lent next year. It's similar to NOOMA (http://www.nooma.com) only ours are shorter and not shot on 35mm (we used DVX100b).

We worked as a 3 man crew. The narrator was the Co Producer and he also wrote the script. I did all the rest of the work except for audio, we freelanced some boom ops for that.

This is our first attempt at a video series like this so I would love to get some feedback.

You should've crushed the background more on that guy. THat is, if you had a boom on set. Then you could have put the camera back and zoomed in. Did you use the RODE? Nice sound!

nice images! nice editing!

Glad you liked it.

Used the Oktava on a boom, got a much better sound than a shotgun would have. We wanted to keep the shot wide because we didn't have much light to work with (only the sun and a reflector) so i got closer to the main subject while still having the artist in the background, although it would have been nice to have him a little more out of focus....if only we had a 35mm adapter.

There are more of these films if you'd like to take a look at them as well, just go to the same link then select any of the "questioning" films at the top of the page. thanks again.

very nice. looked really good, especially the tone and the mood that the color gave me. really liked it. not a religious person but from the technical aspect instead of the content it was done extremely well. very impressed.
