I'm looking to achieve a nice shallow depth of field look with the Hd100. What sort of lense do you reccomend? I want to have a very filmic look and I don't want it to look like video. what are your reccomendations?
 
The Fujinon Th13x3.5BRMU will in no way give you the short-DOF look you want. It is a 1/3" lens just like the stock 16x, but the optics are WAY better.

Mini-35 with 35mm lenses works great for 35mm style DOF with the HD100 (check out Nate Weaver's latest music video shot with this combo http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=55111

Cheaper solutions are Redrock micro and some other DIY contraptions.
