Hey there,
With my dvx 100b...
..I just bought a contax/yashica zeiss planar 50mm f1.7 lens for the letus adapter that I plan on also purchasing. Does anyone have any experience with the footage that it can produce? Is it a great lens or just ok in the scope of other prime lenses out there?

for the price it's really hard to beat. I have a 1.4 and sold my 1.7 but if I had to buy again I might get the 1.7 for what it can do at a great price. No real negatives about it other than it's a hair slower.

That's great to hear since I'm still fairly new at this whole thing. Do you use the letus adapter? I just had a fearful thought that this zeiss lens might not fit on the letus....

I use the Letus on a HVX. I used C/Y adapters with the eos mount but then bought the C/Y mount from Letus. We worth the money....a lot less wiggle

I'm sure the letus on the Hvx is great! I researched a little and read how the 1.4 is a great lens (the zeiss right?). Great reviews on it.
So you mentioned that the 1.7 was a bit slower? Do you recommend additional prime lenses to accompany this one? I can't wait to see what the 1.7 will look like on the dvx.
Do you have any footage that you can show with your lenses?
