lense repair help

Hi,
does anyone know if it is possible to grind back a scratched lense? It is anamorphic adapter from my dvx100. They are light scratches but as you can imagine...any direct light and its a mess. Any suggestions would be great.

Most lenses have vary special optical coatings and grinding a lens will likely remove any of the special coatings, in some cases making things worse. This is why most people put things like UV filters on the front of any prime element, so if its gets damaged it cheap to replace compared to the lens.

There are some products that use a special polymer to fill in scratches in things like glasses. I don't know how good they are with the optics of an anamorphic adpator but since the lens is damaged anyway...
