Lens Test Video on AF100

All of those lenses do quite well in their own way. Great little test.

And I definitely want to know how the story about the illegal fish breeding and the guys with the banana-phones goes on ... or help writing it... ;-)

Obviously beer & burgers increase the quality factor :)

i appreciate you putting this test together. i've often wondered if other lenses than the ones i own (nikon's, voightlander, tokinas and others) would make a significant difference in the quality of the picture from my af100's.

the cooke was definitely the sharpest of the group IMO, but the others all seemed to be pretty close. if you're able to do another test, i would be interested in seeing the same group of lenses used in an exterior setting. perhaps showing the difference in DOF bokeh and also comparing wide cityscapes with a lot of small detail.

Okay, we do a shoot out with the F65, the EPIC and the either the next ALEXA model or a model called Alexa. And a barrel of 2009 er Riesling Kabinett. Extremely scientific pants down test...

Amazing Test. Really showed me that the lenses I use, (all nikon) are top notch. Thanks for taking the time to do this test and posting it.
 
Not just saying this because I own it - but I've studied this video very carefully several times now, and IMHO the Nikon 17-35 nearly matches the Cooke in overall pleasing image, skin tones, and "filmic" look - and was rock-steady during the breathing test.

The Canon (again, IMHO) was among the worst of the bunch, overall. :(

But your mileage (and what you personally find pleasing and filmic) may vary...
