FS7: Lens support help - FS7 + Speedbooster Ultra + Canon 70-100 f/2.8

You don't need it, but it is more solid with a bit of support - pic of Vocas lens support below. I run a matte box a lot of the time, so the extra support allows me to just clip that on to the end of the 70-200.

I've run round like a headless chicken with this combo. There's no play on the lens mount. Zero.

If you're clipping a matte box with filters and other gunk attached then yes, a support is essential, but if you are just sticking the lens, hood and maybe a screw in filter or two, then it's fine.
