Lens support for Af-100

I was going to pick up an old manual tokina 80-200mm nikon mount. And I was going to be using it with my af100. And also my canon 60d.

I'm not sure if I will need to use rails and a lens support when I use it on these cameras?

It probably effect if I pick it up.

I mean am I able to just mount the lens on the tripod and then leave the body off the tripod? of would the body (af100) be to heavy?

the max weight you can put on the af100 lens mount is 2 pounds. i would suggest you invest in rails and a lens support for that long of a lens.
