Lens suggestions for under $1k for cine style & commercial production

Looking for suggestions on lense or a lenss I don't have any more than $1k to spend on lens(es) at this point. I probably don't need anything faster than an f/4. I'd like my AC to actually be able to pull focus so the longer I have to turn the barrel to go 1-20 ft, the better. I'd also like to use this lens(es) for general still photography work. I don't intend to do any large prints so sharpness isn't really an issue with the lenses. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I personally love my Tamaron 28-75 f2.8 for the price ($400) I haven't shot much video with it but I've seen others turn out good stuff. (I'm not sure it would exactly fit your needs)

So any idea what's the benefit of going with the 24-105 IS L series? The sharpness isn't a huge deal for me because I don't plan on doing any large prints.
What do you think I'd lose by going with any of these besides like half a stop of light on the long end of the lens and no image stabilizer on some of them?

The 18-200 is an EF-S lense so you can't use that on the 5d.

The 28-135mm IS is probably the best out of those 3.

You might wait a little bit because I heard rumors of a 24-105mm F2.8 L lens that maybe coming out soon.

Primes are also another way to go.
