Lens Suggestion 5D for Video

Hey guys,
about to buy a MkII body and want suggestions on a lens to buy. Happy to go third party but want a versatile lens to start off with and getting into more specialized stuff a bit later on. Using it strictly for video.

Zeiss Distagon or Zeiss CP2 is perfect for filming on 5D as they cover full frame. Or Canon K35 primes (i owned a set of K35, it works fine with 5D)
 
If you're only gonna get one lens to start, I'd suggest the kit 24-105mm F4 lens. Versatile, pretty darn wide at 24 and medium long length at 100. You'll find you need that range to begin with if you're mainly doing video.
