GH1 lens release button... gone

hi, haven't been here for a while.. but i have been using my gh1 quite a lot, helped by GF1 backup and GF2 on multicopter for aerial filming.
On my last event, i took my gh1 out from my bag and after using it a bit, i looked at it and found that the lens release button had disappeared...
Looked carefully for it in the bag, but it must be lost somewhere.. Now i am stuck with stock lens on, i will bring it to service center next week, but in meantime does anybody have a clue how it would be able to release the lens without the button? i haven't tried poking anything in the slots where the button should be... i don't even know if there is some kind of spring that may be wandering around without the button:Drogar-BlackEye(DBG
 
I'd be a little cautious- with the button gone you might end up popping out the whole assembly if you prod around to much in there. Better to wait until you get it in for service...
