oliver was it you that recommended the Vivitar 85mm f/1.4 to me? For a little over $300 seems like a good catch for a pretty fast lens. Have you used this?

I got it on Ebay for $900.00 and free shipping. Oh crap! Did I pay that much for a lens? I must be crazy!
That's not a bad price for a ZF version. Nikon 85mm is cheaper but you only live once. Maybe.
A lens such as that f/4-/5.6 at f/5.6 lets the camera have 1/4 as much light as a f/2.8 lens.
How do you like your Lumix 14-42?
I think I'm starting to get the lay of the land here. Another reminder of how much lenses have to do with quality footage.
You wouldn't believe the number of wikipedia pages I have bookmarked (ranging from Crop Format to Gaussian Optics), but this forum is where the juicy knowledge is - in the hands of practitioners.
Two lenses that I have enjoyed using on the AF100 are the Sigma 10-20 and the Nikon f2.8 105 Micro lens. The Sigma is fun, but slow, but great for run and gun where there is light. The 105mm micro is sharp, sharp and makes shooting close ups a breeze. Also have used it for doc work; a delight.
It is a piece of crap.
I completely concur .. the dealer threw one in .. and I wished they hadn't ...

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/754598-REG/Voigtlander_BA305A_Nokton_25mm_f_0_95_Lens.html
It's out of stock everywhere but now and then you can find them on ebay.

I shot some footage with 3 different brands of lenses- Lumix, Nikon and Cooke Speed Panchros.
...Any idea why the Cooke at 25mm looks a little low contrast ?
Contrast seems fine at other focal lengths.
