Lens Range & Data Rates

[Alex Leith]

I read it before, but I couldn't find it again...

What is the lens range on the HVX? I remember Jan saying it was wider that they first thought (4.2mm - nice!) but I can't remember what the long end of the range was, and whether that had changed too?

Also, does anyone know what the DVCPro datarates are for 720p25 and 720p50?

Thanks guys

Focal range is 4.2 to 55mm.

Not sure about the 50p version's data rates...

and diameter is 82mm as far as I know - but no integrated lens-cap like in Z1, so I wonder:

can a compendium (the black plastic part that protects the lens from lateral sunlight, included in DVX, HVX) with integrated lens-cap like the Z1 has be found from any manufacturer to lock on the HVX200? Any suggestions? Links?
