Lens Hood for Panasonic AG-LW7208G Wide Angle Lense

Hi, I'm new to DVX100B.

1) Do I need lens hood for Panasonic AG-LW7208G Wide Angle Lense ? I received the WA from B&H today but don't find the lens hood came with it. I checked Panasonic web site but didn't find any.

2) Do I need to add skylight filter to the Panasonic AG-LW7208G Wide Angle Lense ? The back of lens cap said it is 97 mm, does it mean the filter diameter is 97 mm ?

hey, I don't have an answers, but I had the same question regarding the lens hood. I was also a bit erked by the fact that there aren't an threads for a protective uv filter or the like. I'm sure it has something to do with the way the light would bounce around.

I spent 6 months shooting with the AG-LW7208G in sunlit Kenya and had no problems with the lack of lens hood. After the first few weeks, I stopped worrying.

Just my thoughts.
 
I bought my lens hood from cavision.com for my wa i believe its the lh110 it sits perfect on the lens and gives it a really cool look. i then put a polarizer and black promist in front of the lens and had to go with the lh127 but it all worked out. cavision is a good place to shop.
