Lens for wedding?

What kind of lens would you recommend to shoot a wedding with? The Clerk at Best Buy recommended a 15 to 85 USM..But I just don't have 1,200 just sitting around. Any recommendations of fairly reasonable priced lenses that I can use for a wedding? Thanks!

with a 5d a 24-105

I dont know a 25-85 that covers a 5d chip

poor? maybe a 28 or 35 prime
