F35: Lens for shooting wedding ceremony

I want to use my FS5 to shoot the bride over the shoulder of the groom and have the groom's shoulder to have soft focus. I realize that this could depend on the distance, but I would think I might be up to 20 feet away. What lens and f stop would like give me this result? At the moment, I only have the kit lens 18-105mm f4, so I am assuming I won't get much bokeh under these circumstances.

You may get more responses posting this in the section for the Fs5, instead of the F35 and F65. The FS series cams are grouped below with the PMW series.

Something like a 70-200 2.8 is great for this in small venues or outdoor locations. In larger churches where access is often restricted to the wings, you'll need something closer to 400mm. In most cases you'll need a very tall tripod to pull this shot off as the groom is generally taller than the bride.

If you're shooting 1080p you can also use center crop mode, but you won't be able to throw the groom out of focus as much this way.

I agree though that you'll get more responses in the PMW section.
