lens filters & zoom lenses

hello everyone! i`m trying to get back to my life after the passing of my wife in jan. i`m tired of just lying around wondering why. i need to get busy doing the things i like to do. my kids are really worried about me.

any way i`m in need of a uv lens filter for my dvx 100a. what are some decent ones to get that are`nt to pricey. i also need a telephoto lens that would give me a better zoom factor for my camera. please not too pricey.

i'm sorry to hear about your wife.
i believe seeing life through the viewfinder is the best way to handle anything.

tiffen has some UV filters for a little less than $32 on bhphoto.com.
i don't know too much about the telephoto lenses but i wish you luck with that.
 
I'll second the Tiffen- for 32 bucks they do what I need them to do, which is protect the lens from dust and scratches (and UV rays, although visually the affect is not too dramatic).

I don't know about the other stuff, but good luck getting your feet back on the ground.
 
i'll have to agree with Chuck on the centry optics...there are others out there but most are crap and will make your nice dvx lens look like poo.
 
thank you all so much! i am so happy to be among such aspiring and talented videographers in this forum.

since everyone suggests tiffen uv filter, then tiffen it is. as far as the centry optics, that will have to wait until i get more money.
