This might be a very simple question: How do I change the lens on my 170? I recently purchased a wide-angle lens and I figured that I would ask here prior to its arrival.

You don't actually change the lens. Hopefully you purchased a wide angle "adapter" that fits on the front of the existing lens. 72mm for hpx170.

Yes, it connects to the front of the lens. That is assuming you ordered one made specifically for your model camera.
