I know that the lens is electronic, but I want to know how good of a feel it has and how resposive it is compared to the DVX. I m also wondering if you can do the cineform 24 and the fake 30 frames a second in SD.

You can do CF24 and CF30 in DV mode.
As far as feel, it feels great. The zoom ring is luxurious feeling, even though it's not as accurate as the DVX's, it still feels marvelous and as long as you don't move too fast it keeps up very well. The focus ring feels fine as well. Didn't test too much for repeatability in focus, I expect (but didn't verify) that it's no more repeatable than the XL2 or PD170. (But then again, the DVX is unparalleled in DV cameras as far as focus response and ability to repeat focus.) The FX1 gives feedback on lens focus position in meters, and it was easy and accurate to use.
